26 Baby Sleep Solutions and HALO Sleep sack wearing :)

Browsing FB, I saw this article posted - the A to Zs of helping baby sleep. I read it and felt that it was a big help, so I'm sharing it with you all. :)

According to the article, the ideal time to sleep for babies under 1 year old is 6:30-7:00pm. Yikes! MBS usually stays up until past 9:00pm. Uh-oh.

However, the letter that caught my eye was letter E:
(from http://www.parenting.com/gallery/baby-sleep-solutions?pnid=113632)

E Is for Empty the Crib
Keep the sleep surface free of everything but the cutest thing in the room, your baby. Blankets, bumpers and stuffed animals can be hazardous, increasing the odds of suffocation or choking. A fitted sheet is all he needs on his mattress. If you're worried about warmth, try a sleep sack instead of a loose blanket.

With that being said, I'm going to plug that I'm selling Halo sleep sacks.

I bought the Halo sleep sack MBS is using before she was born. I saw it being sold in the Babypalooza bazaar that was held in Ateneo grounds early this year. I got curious about it and just bought it. I didn't know what a good investment I was making - and I say this without bias. :)

MBS started using her sleep sack when she was 2 or 3 months old. It was heavenly. She started sleeping longer and became less fussy. I think it might have something to do with the warmth of the sleep sack fleece. With that, I use the sleep sack religiously every night. MBS is actually starting to outgrow her sleep sack, and I'll be getting a bigger size for her. :)

The reason why I decided to help sell Halo sleep sacks is simply because I found it REALLY helpful. And I want other moms to find out about it. :) It's helped MBS sleep longer nights, and made me a happy mommy. :)

Below are a few pictures and descriptions I got from the Halo sleep sack site describing its product:

I still have tons of things to adjust regarding the sleeping habits of MBS. I guess I'll need to go back to the A to Z list every now and then.

But at least, sleep sack = check!

Baguio City 2017 - Day 3

DAY 3 Here's a glimpse (with pictures) of what the inside of our rented house at St. Patrick looks like. The house can be rented for Php 18,000 a night. It was pricey for our small group, but would have been worth it for a bigger group.  Room# 1 at Lower Ground CR inside Room # 1 Stairs going to the main floor Living room (Main door is on the right) Dining room just across the living room Kitchen (Pots and pans, knives, chopping board, plates, utensils, rice cooker, water dispenser with 5 Gal water, water kettle are all provided.) Room # 2 at Main floor CR just outside Room # 2 Stairs leading to 2nd Floor Room# 3: Master's Bedroom (there's a CR inside) Room # 4 across the Master's Bedroom (CR located beside the room) Stairs going to Attic St. Patrick Village was nice enough to hold my downpayment for 1 year. We were supposed to go last year, but we had a family emergency.  I was really charmed by this place (...

NAIA 2 and its Infant Feeding Station

A few weeks ago, I had to travel to Canada without MBS.  With the long haul flight and being outside my own comfort zone, I realized I was going to have a hard time with pumping and breast milk handling. Thoughts of where I was going to pump, how I was going to pump (in public areas) worried me.  So, I'd have to say that I was immensely happy when I saw the Infant Feeding Station at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2. The station is located at the left end of the waiting area after you pass the carry-on luggage X-ray and metal detector.  The sign of the station was a bit hard (for me) to see because firstly, I have blurry vision and secondly, the sign was way smaller than the MASSAGE sign beside it.  But the station was truly a welcome sight, esp. since it's air-conditioned inside. I got a chance to beat the warm temperature in the waiting area for a while. :) Hopefully someday, all airports will soon be equipped with their o...

Hong Kong Disneyland (June 2018)

Since MBS kept true to her goal of getting a gold merit award on the 4th grading of her K1 journey (Yay!), I had to keep my word of granting her wish - a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland. We arrived at HKIA around 5:30pm and had our dinner first before heading to the happiest place in the world. I loved that they cut the noodles for the kids so they won't have a hard time eating! MBS LM After filling our tummies, we headed off to the taxi area. HK taxis are set into three categories or colors, depending on the area: red for urban/city areas, blue for Lantau island, and green for New Territories. All three colors can bring us HK Disneyland. However, the red one is a bit more expensive than the green and blue ones. We took the green taxi. The ride to the Disneyland Explorer's Lodge cost us 147 HKD. Finally, we checked into HK Disneyland's Explorer Lodge! Hong Kong Disneyland offers three hotel choices: Disneyland Hotel, Hollywood Hotel, a...
