Dinner at Goose Station

It's been some time since MH and I had time for our selves. With MBS in tow, we've got our schedule's filled to the brim. I'm not complaining, though. :) It just makes a date night like this much more appreciated.

MH bought vouchers from Deal Grocer for the Goose Station a while back. We were supposed to use it for dinner with his friends. However, we had a family dinner we had to attend to when his friends met up. So, we had to go another time.

It was nice to go out on a date again, esp. for a semi-fine dining one. :) The voucher we got was for a sampler menu, so the servings were pretty small but they all tasted good.

Here are a few pictures of what we had.

ze menu :)

foie gras cône - this was surprisingly tasty :) my favorite among all the courses served

tuna crudo - this was so, so. i liked the raspberry vinaigrette though :)

trio of brushcette - the chicken liver was the tastiest :) the salmon was so,so.

egg and sweet potato - this dish was good. but couldn't help but think how expensive this dish was for the ingredients that were used. hehe :)

intermezzo - a sorbet in between courses to neutralize the palette :)

scallop and carrots :)

foie gras taho - this was pretty good too :)

TGS burger - I don't eat beef so I couldn't enjoy this. MH did though :)

halo halo - this i didn't really like. I'd rather Iceberg's >_<

topped everything off with rose for me and 2009 red wine for MH :)

petit four - who can go wrong with chocolate? :)

a date to remember :)

Baguio City 2017 - Day 2

DAY 2 To start off the day, the little monkey woke up early to run around the grounds of St. Patrick Village. He had just finished his oatmeal breakfast, which I was able to cook at the comfort of the house we rented. This is the house we stayed in. Baguio City 2017 - Day 3

DAY 3 Here's a glimpse (with pictures) of what the inside of our rented house at St. Patrick looks like. The house can be rented for Php 18,000 a night. It was pricey for our small group, but would have been worth it for a bigger group. Youji & Me Clearance Sale

While browsing Facebook, I chanced upon Youji & Me having a clearance sale ! :) I love clearance or warehouse sales. They mean 50% off the original price, or sometimes even more. :) It's too bad the company didn't give a clearance sale before MBS was born. If they did, it would've saved us a lot of money. The crib and playpen MBS uses now were both bought from Youji & Me by MBS's grandparents. From what i've gathered, it's part of Chinese tradition that the mom-side grandparents of the baby have to buy the crib. It's also tradition not to assemble the crib before the baby arrives. In our case though, we had the crib assembled when it was delivered to our place. We didn't put on the sheets yet though. We waited for MBS to come out before doing that.
